Last Friday my friend Kristin and I went to Ikea and I came home with a new desk chair. I’ve been debating on what style to choose ever since my old wooden black one started to get rickety. I settled on the white faux-leather egg style chair. Other options at West Elm and CB2 were nice, but too expensive.
My only concern with the chair was getting the vinyl dirty. To prevent that from happening I’m going to find a fabric to cover the cushion with, and I got this adorable yellow and gray peony pillow from Target by Dwell Studio.

So far, so good! The only other major changes I’d like to make involve a new brighter colored rug (beige or yellow) and new metal and white glass desk.

I just LOVE it! And that pillow is adorable, I have been eyeing it at Target but don’t have a solid spot at home to put it. Now I can just enjoy it in your office! The chair looks amazing with the lamps, a great compliment!

Looks beautiful! I have a chair like that (but in a different fabric) and it’s surprisingly comfortable. Love the pillow too.

Ok… that’s it. I’ve got to break down and make the trek to IKEA. It’s 6 hours away, but I’ve been making a list for months now. I’m afraid I don’t have the skills to make a pattern for the chair… will you post a tutorial when you’ve done it?? Pretty please.

I’ve been admiring that pillow from Target for quite some time. Love it and the new chair is awesome too!
