I am very pleased to have found your blog (through The Lovely List). I aspire to lead a meaningful, fulfilling life. I'm not quite there yet, but I do try! Mostly I try to set a good example for my children and be a person they will be proud of - when they are old enough to understand the concept!

@ Jill: Oh my gosh. That is such a nice thing to say. And you totally have me nailed. My day is generally structured around a wipe board with things to do that I wipe off as I go. It's simple, but for some unknown reason if it goes on that magic wipeboard, it gets done. If not today, then tomorrow.

As for composure, some days are better than others. I definitely have been known to struggle with worrying about what others think and holding myself to impossible (read: perfect) standards.

You are doing a great job, keep it up!

@ PVE: As usual, beautifully put. I think sometimes I find myself (and probably others) have a tendency to let compliments roll off my back and dwell on only negative feedback.

Being able to receive good things is the only way they can come. Right?

@ Plush Palate and Rachel: Glad the passage struck you, too!

Oh I love this! So inspiring! It truly is a gift to find your passion and to subsequently feel you are living a purposeful and fulfilling life! Thanks for the reminder :)

I think above all, when we are giving and living with a grateful heart, we find fulfillment. Above all, sharing and giving of one's talent and expertise is very important to me. Living graciously and minding one's manners is also important. To live in a civilized way, with beauty and culture in mind.
Thank-you for sharing.

This is great! I have been thinking about you lately because I am feeling frazzled between motherhood and blogging and life in general- maybe your readers (or just me!) need a refresher in living with intention... every day I think, what would Jess do? Likely make a simple list and stick to it... am I on the right track? You come across as so composed... I need composure these days! :)
